The learner who steps through the doors at Pushforward Summer House School will begin a journey with us that results in achievement of a significant selection of meaningful qualifications and confidently prepares them for the next steps in their lives.
We will retain our approach and commitment to individualised learning. Conversational education is key to unpick progression barriers, as we focus heavily on developing well rounding young people, finding their spark, accepting people at their own starting point, and acknowledging success through personal and academic growth.
We want them to walk through their front door at the end of each day proud of who they, what they have done and with a great big smile on their face.
Our Aim
Our aim is for every young person to be proud of who they are, to know they have right to be an individual, to know they matter, to have a voice, feel safe and confident enough to progress through the world in a way which makes them smile.
The Model of Our School
A subtly challenging, low demand approach to Education. The provision takes place for 30 hours a week over five days (6 hours a day) including morning and afternoon sessions along with the team preparing and cooking of their own lunch. All teaching will be done as a mix of classroom delivery and off-site educational visits with no expectation to be sitting still in a classroom all day.

Pushforward work with those young people that others have given up on. Those that don't fit the mould of traditional education and need to be engaged differently. We use conversational education, trauma informed therapy and a practical approach when engaging young people and encouraging self belief.
