THE BEGINNING.
Part 1 - FIND THEIR SPARK
Learning where the Young Person is in the World
We will work with the young person to gain their trust and unpick who they are, what they want out of life and the barriers to that achievement. They can have a go at lots of practical things to see what they would like to do or concentrate on things they already know they love.
Part 2 - IGNITE THEIR SPARK
Skills Development & Training
We will select identified interests for training. Employability, functional skills and other accredited elements are introduced into delivery as we develop interest for progression.
They can work towards an accredited outcome through NCFE (Functional skills Maths, English, Award in Employability Skills, Award in Enterprise Skills) Additional Gateway qualifications in practical subjects will be available based on the journey we create with the young person.
These are themed in the following seven areas:
CREATIVE INDUSTRIES (Art, Music and film)
ENGINEERING, MECHANICS AND WELDING
CONSTRUCTION AND THE BUILD ENVIRONMENT
HAIR AND BEAUTY
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS (Maths and English)
HOSPITALITY AND CATERING
SPORTS & ACTIVE LEISURE
Part 3 - SHARE THEIR SPARK
Community Project or Supported Work Experience
They will use the skills learned to undertake a social/community/enterprise project or partake in supported work experience so you can understand how the skills learned are used in the real world. The main point of this part of the delivery is to show others, but more importantly themselves all they can do and how incredible they are.
We will also include elements of Information, Advice and Guidance including progress route.
